It was so sunny that day, and warm. The bees were buzzing, and the leaves were rustling…I’d had a couple of sleepless nights before that hike, but I sure had the drowsies afterward!
I found some beautiful flowers in the most unlikely places. That lemon-yellow flower, for instance, was perched on a prickly pear cactus. Here’s the same flower, photographed from another angle–not as pretty, perhaps, but see what I mean?
Mother nature all dressed out in her coat of many colors. Thanks for the glimpse of her in your area. All one has to do to see beauty is to open their eyes.
Seems as if your area might be rather arid now, too, given the recent (and ongoing) drought. I’m glad you planted flowers in your yard…I can’t imagine how people in the dustbowl era lived without them!
