Even though I’m a writer, I’m struggling to find words that sufficiently describe my thoughts and feelings about yesterday’s signing ceremony. I need time to soak it in, to sort it all out. I can say, however,  that I’m very happy to have witnessed the fulfilment of my personal Rosa Resolution in this very public, positive way.

    • Yes, we got one copy of the signed bill.

      We both got a signing pen. His is Mont Blanc-ish: blue with gold trim, including Arnold’s signature, and with an inlaid CA flag at the top. Mine’s not quite as fancy: it’s black with gold trim and signature, no flag.

      David’s pen was used to sign the bill that’ll go in the State Capitol’s vault. I wanted him to have that.

      That’s exactly how I’m feeling today. It’s a bit overwhelming, but… I’m coping. Hee hee.

  13. I know it’s not fair to make this observation when you are standing next to Arnold Schwarzenegger, but you’re so tiny! Tiny and beautiful! I love your hair in these pictures. (Sorry, I had to pause for the frivolous stuff.)

  15. How wonderful. You’ve done a good thing, getting this legislation passed.

    And how tiny you look next to the Governator! When you get a chance, you’ll have to dish a bit on how he was in person. In the meantime, I’m thrilled that it all went so well. Again, good for you and for your son!
