Thich Nhat Han says, “If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.” It’s why our ears perk up, and our spirits lift, whenever we hear certain music.
For me, it’s the old-time gospel standards and spirituals, which this hymn board brings to mind. If you happen to find one in your travels, I hope you’ll think of me…
I love the box the numbers are kept in … exactly the right size for what it needs to do!
I admit my first thought upon seeing the board was a rather mischievous one – that is, delicately moving the numbers around so there might be a bit of a mix-up come time to sing. I hope that’s okay to say!

Could everyone really remember the hymn just by its number, or was that a cue to look it up?
Ha, no. Hence the hymn board, which helps make sure everyone’s on the same page. So to speak… 🙂
Bees are humming, sweet birds singing …
I can hear them through the open window.
Are there any lovelier songs than these? Thanks for cracking the window open so I could hear them. xoxo

Oh, me, too! *covets* I’m so breaking one of the Ten Commandments for this…
P.S. About your mischievous thought: I used to entertain myself during long church services with similar ideas. 🙂
