Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on yesterday’s entry! I’ve got a doctor’s appointment this morning, followed by a voice lesson. After that, I’ll spend time responding to each of you.
Have you ever been to an oasis? If not, next time you’re in SoCal, you should consider going. It’s an amazing place…one that you have to see up-close to really appreciate.
I think so, too! The desert has its own ecological beauty, and you have to accept it on its terms. Deadly, but drop-dead gorgeous in its own way…that’s the desert I’ve come to love and appreciate.
Ah, I’m so glad you felt its warmth! That’s one of the cool things about an oasis: It’s cooler than the surrounding desert, but it’s still warmer than most other parts of the world. It’s an entire ecosystem, all on its own. 🙂
One could definitely do that, if only in a spiritual sense. That’s the thing that draws me again and again to “my” oasis: the sense that I’m entering a magical, ephemeral world. The rest of the world falls away when I enter Nature’s cathedral.

Gorgeous!

I’d like to take a walk there this morning!
I’d like to take a stroll there with you–anytime! Anytime at all.
(Well…maybe not in the summertime. It gets too darn hot in the desert after March or April.)
It’s so beautiful!

So pretty. It made me feel warm (we’re in the midst of a blizzard). Thank you for sharing!

What a beautiful place–it seems like one could float, there.
