  1. Oh Melodye, I just love this! It’s gorgeous and inspiring too. And now I’ll take a little of that light for inspiration as I sit down to grapple with–once again–my chapter 16.

    • Thank YOU!

I’m shy about my “artistry,” but it feels good to share my sources of light/inspiration with my friends (who, like you, are beacons, as well).

      🙂

  3. Ahem. Not to pick a fight with you on your own blog, Melodye. But you are very much mistaken. That’s most definitely Fine Art.

Those two little pages are absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful. Wondrous.

    Now, don’t talk back.

    • That’s exactly what I said when the words and images presented themselves to me. 🙂

(Which is why I’m loving this creative journaling–it reveals things that might not have occurred to me otherwise.)

  4. So sorry to hear about that dark, barren corner! There are too many of those in the world. But bless you for finding some Light and sharing it so beautifully with the rest of us. I think your sketchbook is wonderful.

    • Oooh, I so hope you do! Your posts are always so insightful, expressive…hilarious. I know you’re creative, and I would LOVE to see how you put your personal stamp on creative journaling.

  5. I’m very, very glad you found something to help bring you out of that dark corner and back into the creative light, Melodye. I love your creative journal. It is very, very beautiful.

  6. I love this, Melodye… especially the owl! Thank you for posting this.

I could use a little of that light, myself, as my current WIP is driving me bonkers!! I really could use some inspiration… the story keeps nagging at me to write it but my fear is that the project is more than what I’m capable of… guess I’ve slid into one of those dark barren corners.

    • ((Sharon)) I understand….

This is why we travel this road together, isn’t it? When our own light falters, our companions hold theirs a little higher.

You have enough light–you ARE the light–to carry your story forward.

  7. Oh this is lovely. I came over to look, again, at your first journal pages you shared and found this. I would be drawing a stick figure….because that’s all I can manage. I just love what you are doing and you are, indeed, an artist.
