I’m thankful today for the letters of the alphabet. I can use them to write things down…or to make things up. I can arrange them in any order I like, whenever I choose. I might scribble them or type them–marching them across my computer screen, like obedient soldiers, or tossing them haphazardly onto scraps of paper, in playful shapes and colors. I love them as if I’d invented them myself, every curve and every angle. They’re mine, all 26 of them, to use as I please…nevermind what my inner critic says! And you know why that is, don’t you? Say it with me: I’m a writer.

Yes, you ARE!
I know you are, but what am I?
A writer!
🙂
thankful for letters, words, sentences, and writers! oh, and scrabble (love the photo!)
YES, to all of the above! 🙂
Yes you are indeed!
(and so am I.)
Yep! We’re in this together. 🙂
Love your gratitude and your alphabet and your do what you please.
Do not like your inner critic. She can go play with her own scrabble set.
I’m learning, I’m learning! When that inner critic shows her blank face in my letter tray, I push her aside and reach for another.
Re: i’m thankful too! ;’]
YAY! If we were playing Scrabble, that’d translate to a double score!
Yes we are!!
Yes, yes indeed! 🙂
You, my friend, are a total triple word score 😉
Hee! You’ve got game, too, Poolhallace. 🙂
Ooh, can I play! 🙂
Always. Anytime and forever.
I was just thinking about this the other day, how we can create gazillions of stories with just those letters. Pretty mind-boggling, and very cool.
Thanks for being in synch with my thoughts, yet again. 🙂
It’s a wonderment, this synchronicity. (Hey, that’s a big-score word right there!). 🙂
I can say that I am NOT a writer but I know you are one and a pretty darn good one at that. Have a great day and an even better tomorrow.
You *are* a writer. You paint memorable images with your words and photographs.
Have a great weekend, PapaDan.
