“Phoebe’s hatchling flew the coop yesterday. Or maybe he was raptured. :-)”
If so, it would appear he was the ONLY one.
Sigh.
I guess it is too much to hope that — after centuries of slight variations on the same story (“Oh yes! The world is going to end on June 1, 1723!” (World doesn’t end.) “Um… no, I made a mistake in my math — it’s REALLY going to end on May 5, 1724!” (World doesn’t end… and so on, and so on…) people would recognize the scam. Oh well. — PL

This willingness to suspend disbelief, to believe in something greater than ourselves, and to work toward a better tomorrow…it’s all good. But to cling to someone who proclaims himself an End Times prophet–haven’t we learned the lessons of history yet?
LOL — oh, this rapture business…
Ha–I know, right?
Scout did a lot of flappping there before takeoff! It’s hard to leave the security of the nest.
I should check on the Molly barn own webcam…
Great observation, Barb. I think that’s true for (almost) all of us.
I’d love to watch some of your favorite MollyCam videos, if you’re willing to post them…
I can’t repost images or videos. It’s all copyrighted. But a link to The Owl Box is:

Watch it at night. They’re nocturnal.
Oh my gosh, Melodye, that brought tears to my eyes. So sweet! Thanks for sharing.
I tear up every time, Lorraine. Every time! Those hummers have me wrapped around their…uh, wings?

Yay! Go, little one!
I wish for Scout a lifetime of smooth take-offs and landings. Oh, and tasty nectar.
They are so brave, and so very beautiful….one of God’s most amazing creatures, I think.
It’s a mixed blessing, that thorny rose bush. It probably deters some predators, but ouch, those thorns are almost the size of hummers!
Re: First flight
I’m glad you enjoyed it. For me, it’s a happy respite from the evening news.
