Sawdust trail to hiking trail

Over the past several weeks, I’ve traipsed around the country in a pair of these 

doing research and writing about this

Tonight, however, I’m bracing myself getting ready for vacation!  

Over the next few days, I’ll hike the Sierras in a pair of these

and afterward, I’ll have nightmares about outhouses, mosquitos and marauding bears rest comfortably in this.

    Is this hike-out for pleasure or writing business? (Hate to sound like a spoiled brat but it is nearly impossible for me to equate sleeping in a tent with pleasure. I’ve tried. It’s not for me. I complain if I don’t have eight pillows on my bed. Not likely I’d make the best camper, I suppose.)

    Are you travelling with the Mr. or with…?

  21. K, we’ve had serious bear attacks here — so BE careful!!!!!!! A little boy was just dragged to his death last week not more than 20 miles from us!

    I WANT THOSE SANDALS! I am dead serious. I just broke my favorite pair of Birkies, but yours are awesome! Where can I get them? Pleeeease don’t tell me I have to fly to CA.
