I like to take lots of pictures, as reference and reminder that my writer adventures are real and not just a dream. These photos, taken over the past couple of days, provide unmistakable proof of how very lucky I am.
First, I took a trip to a luxe location, for interviews and play time with some Ladies Who Lunch. This is a shot of my two-day playground research venue:

Here’s a photo of the Rolls Royce golf cart I drove to the place where we lunched. I valet parked, of course.
I got home just in time to go to my writers’ group meeting – and to catch up on personal and publishing-world gossip with my beautiful friend and writing mentor,
Robbiewriter.

Today, after my horseback riding lesson, it’s back to work on my manuscript — trying to transform my mental and digital images into the proverbial 1,000 words.
Sounds like you had a great trip – thanks for sharing the pictures. So – did you find any inspiration for the YA for Lauren’s class?
It was wonderfully relaxing, and very informative, too!
I’m still grappling with ideas for Lauren’s class. It’s hard to think about fiction when the nonfiction I’m working on is so unbelievably true. I appreciate your prodding me, though, ’cause the first day of class is coming up soon!
Aw, look at your beautuful self (and Robbie, too)! The outing sounds fahbulous, darling!!
*kiss kiss* How sweet of you, dahling!
The outing was beyond words! My challenge this morning is to figure out ways to describe how fabulously, over-the-top wonderful everything…that’ll be fun, for sure.
That icon rocks!!! one of the best movies of all time…
Eileen
Thanks – I agree!
The movie? And the tie-in to you?
What fun!
What fun!
You and Robyn look so cute together. I wish I had some fun, local (even once or twice a year local) writing friends!
Re: What fun!
Oh, I wish you had that, too! Hey, come hang out with us awhile. We’d love to have you!
Our group, Pure Fiction League of South Orange County, is full of talented and fun writers, lots who’ve been published and who are willing to share what they know about editing and the industry. I feel privileged to be part of this group!
HA! No need to pimp THIS golf cart; it’s a case of who’s nside that matters the most — beyond the conspicuously placed manufacturer’s name and hood emblem, that is!
Oh wait, did I mention the customized golf clubs in back, carefully ensconced in a personalized Chanel golf bag?
HAPPY ST PATRICK’S DAY!
Thanks — and the luck o’ the Irish to you, as well! =:)
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
And LOL about that golf cart – too cool! I loved it!
Isn’t it fabulous?!? I could hardly believe my eyes…I knew I needed to take a photo as backup for talking about it later, so no one would think I was kissing a Blarney Stone. LOL.
WOW
Feels almost like I was there with you…cool.
Re: WOW
Are you lovin’ it? I sure am! =:)
The picture of you two turned out great, didn’t it. Oh, and let’s not forget the beloved golf cart. Can we hope to see a tooth-pic any time soon?
Robyn and I looked happy, which, of course, we were.
I’m afraid a digital image wouldn’t do the tricked-out toothpicks the kind of justice they deserve.
Rolls Royce Golf Cart!
Hi Melodye,
I was so amazed to find out that there is such a thing as a Rolls Royce golf cart-I obviously am living a sheltered from riches, middle class life style! Of course, you valet parked!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laughing until almost tears,
Debbie
