My birthday has been spread out over a few weeks because my sister and I shared a family dinner. (Her b-day is 13 days before mine.) And an aunt is putting together a party for my grandpa and me. (Mine is 5 days before his.) The actual day? I think my husband might just take me to dinner and get me an ice cream cake. 🙂
I’ve been saying some variation of that since my boys were very young. I’m always specific about the age thing, though, so the other one won’t think I’m playing favorites. lol 🙂
Happy birthday, David!
On his behalf…Thank you, Susan!
You are SO not old enough to have a 25 year old son!
Happy Day to both of you! What a handsome guy…and did I know that he’s a David like mine?! mumble, mumble…bad memory…mumble…
😉
xoxo
*mumble…mumble…struggles to remember*
I don’t recall if we ever discussed it, but it makes perfect sense that we have sons with the same name. 🙂
Thanks for the good wishes, Lorraine!!!
Happy birthday to your son. What a mommy moment to cherish!
I will cherish it always, and (more importantly) I hope he does, as well.
Thanks for joining our birthday party.
Wondering…Did someone write “WRITE” on your hardwood floor? I’ve always been curious about your icon.
Happy Birthday, David!
I remember that picture. That seems like so long ago!
It was two years ago September 5th…and yeah, it feels forever ago, but in some ways, it feels like just yesterday. Sigh.
Thanks for the good wishes for David. I’m sure they made him smile. 🙂
Congrats to you both!
Thank you, Sacha. You’ve been such a supportive friend for so long. I don’t know what I’d do without you!! (HUGS)
Awwww! What a lovely tribute 🙂
We love our children somethin’ fierce, don’t we? 🙂
sigh. What a great picture. Happy Birthday from me too.
He’s a great man. I’m very proud of him…can you tell? 🙂
Glad to see you’re back from your vacation! I always enjoy seeing the photos of your travels!
How lovely (the photo, the son, and the sentiment.)
Thanks, Kelly. You know how we mothers are… sometimes we get all mushy and sentimental. 🙂
Woooooooooooo Hooooooooooo!!! Happy Birthday!!!
Ah, now that you’re here, the party’ll really get going. 🙂
Awwww! That is so sweet! 🙂
My son’s probably rolling his eyes (AGAIN!). We mothers can be so sappy sometimes. 🙂
Hey, you’ve got a birthday coming up pretty soon, too, don’t you?!?! Got plans for celebrating?

So you’re getting some well-deserved “spoiling.” That’s great! Happy, happy birthday — I hope the celebration never ends. 🙂
Thank you for coming to his LJ birthday party! 🙂
🙂 I sent virtual balloons!
Your son’s a handsome dude, too. No doubt about that!!!

Awwwww, how sweet!
Happy birthday to your son!
Thanks for coming to his b’day party!!

Aw! Happy belated, David.
He’s so handsome, Mel!
Aw, shucks. I know I’m a tad bit biased, but I have to admit…you’re right! lol 🙂

Awww … What a great Mom you are…and what a good looking son!
Happy Belated Birthday David!!
Aw, a cake! With flaming candles, ready for blowing out and making a wish! You sure do know how to make a birthday something special, Sharon.
And…yeah, we do love our sons, don’t we? 🙂
Yup, and miss them terribly!
What a cool photo of a memorable moment!
