None of them look all that happy, do they, but she looks absolutely miserable. Maybe she’d feel better if she removed that furry wrap from her shoulders…
Yes, that’s what I was thinking! They’re disgruntled, no doubt about it, and Nancy Drew finds herself wondering what happened before that misery-laced photo was snapped.
And what’s that woman thinking, as she walks past them in the background….
They look exactly how I felt, when year after year, my sisters and I were coerced into wearing identical (home-sewn) Easter dresses. Annnnnd, after the first one wore out, there were hand-me-downs, waiting in the wings….
“Oh and hey, since you’re here…I woke up craving cranberry pancakes this morning. :)”
Now you’ve got ME craving them, too! I really wish I’d taken Jeannine’s advice a couple of months ago and stocked up on bags of cranberries we could have frozen, so when these cravings hit, I could just reach into the freezer.
Hmmm… I wonder if grocery stores sell frozen whole cranberries? I’ve never looked for them… but I think I should.
Hopefully, when you make your next trip to the East, either I will have found a source of frozen cranberries, or the delightful little buggers will be in season, so I can cook you up one of these huge pancakes! — PL
I think they were afraid of the big Easter Bunny that was taking their picture. Great photo.
Aren’t they funny? I’m thinking they must be relatives of SNL’s Church Lady.
The woman in the middle looks excruciatingly uncomfortable.

Aw, they don’t look too happy. It looks like some of our holiday family photos. Which makes me wonder about the story behind the uncomfortable faces.

Hee hee!
🙂 They look as if someone’s bitten both ears off the chocolate bunnies in their Easter baskets!
Oh my! Their faces! LOL
!! 🙂 !!
Someone laced their jelly beans with sour lemon. 🙂
They look super excited about the holiday!

I wonder what became of that Brobdingnagian basket of Easter eggs in the background.
Brobdingnagian basket of Easter eggs
Ha! ‘Brobdingnagian’ is right–that Easter basket is colossal!
As to your question, Peter, the super-sized basket is a permanent fixture in Lakeview Park (Lorain, OH):

Re: Brobdingnagian basket of Easter eggs
Melodye, it looks kind of sad with no eggs in it!
Re: Brobdingnagian basket of Easter eggs
Yes, it does. Like a deflated (Macy’s Parade) balloon, isn’t it?
Oh and hey, since you’re here…I woke up craving cranberry pancakes this morning. 🙂
