    • Thanks for stopping by! If you’d like, I’ll enter your name in the contest.

Of the two of us, my husband’s the Templeton. (Remember that scene in Charlotte’s Web?) He’s all about Bratwurst and cinnamon buns, and All Manner of Things Fried and Otherwise Greasy. On the other hand, I prefer pita-wrapped falafel and grilled corn. But neither of us had room for funnel cake, alas. I guess you’ll have to make your way to the fairgrounds to sample it. 🙂

    • Hello, new friend! I haven’t seen you here before, but I’m glad you dropped by–and that you took the time to comment.
Would you like to be entered in the drawing?

      • Hi, Sure, please enter me in the drawing.

I read your previous entry and could really connect with what you were saying.Let go and be in the moment. I don’t think I’ll try Yoga though. I’m going to stick with treadmills and stairmasters. Glad I found your page-Thanks Mary!(Facebook post)

        • Will do! I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you’ll visit often!

I think each one of us has to discover our own path. I like elliptical trainers and the Precor, but yoga…well, it helps teach me things that my machine workouts cannot.

P.S. What does “Facebook post” mean?

    • Thanks, Sherwood–it was a blast! And you know…I always think of you whenever I hear the phrase, “road trip”! Remember our back-and-forth about ’em a while back?

If I’m remembering correctly, THE MILES BETWEEN visited your neck of the woods some time ago. Seal Beach, was it?

Glad to see you back online. And by the way, a vendor was hawking paper and cotton parasols at the OC Fair…

        • Melodye, I watched this slideshow with amusement, interest, great admiration of your creativity, and some horror because that arc is now in my Mass. home and no way am I showing it as great a time. I thought taking it to the coffee shop and garden was giving it thrills enough, because, um, it’s what I do. Oh well, I’m glad it had so much fun in Orange County! (and good thing I’m not too competitive…. xo)

          • LOL! I’d love to see the ARC (and you!) relaxing at local coffee shop and in your garden! That’s the idea, isn’t it, to highlight some of the local flavor?

And besides, I’m thinking the ARC probably needs to wend its way down a few calmer roads after all that galavantin’ and gluttony. 🙂

    • Glad you enjoyed it! I had tons of fun creating it. Can you imagine me walking right up to people/animals and asking them to pose with the book? LOL. Good sports, one and all. May each of them be sprinkled with bucketloads of good karma.

So…are you throwing your hat into the ring? Shall I enter your name into the contest?

      • lol… I think it’s so great that everybody was happy to pose with the book. That’s awesome. And may they be sprinkled with good karma indeed!

Yes, please enter my name! I love contests! 🙂

  1. Melodye,
I love your slideshow, and the tour you gave Mary Pearson’s ARC. (That’s one lucky book!)
The past week I’ve been reading a couple entries and you’ve been extremely busy – still can’t wait to hear more updates on Can I Have a Witness.
I hope you’re having a wonderful summer, yoga and writing and all.

    • Laura!! Oh, it’s so good to see you here again! Oh wow, I’ve missed you and often wondered where you were/how you’re doing. Do tell.

Shh, don’t tell, but I think I had as much fun as Mary’s ARC! 🙂

Email me if you’d like. We can set up a time to catch up by phone…
