  1. You do know you’ve condemned me to singing that song all day long, don’t you? I’m highly suggestible that way. But I’ll mix it up a bit:
    Raindrops on roses
    and whiskey-drinkin’ kittens….

Wishing you a gorgeous Thursday filled with much light, Melodye.

    • Thank you, Tracy. I am craving sunshine and companionship today.

Thanks for the lol lyrics. Here’s another raindrop-related song for your mental playlist…

  2. Beautiful. And just what the doctor ordered after all the torrential rain we’ve been having in the Northeast. Thank you for sharing! 🙂

    • You’ve been flooded, haven’t you? I get all excited about a break in the weather–which typically means the pavement gets a sprinkling of moisture, nothing more. Glad to share a little sunshine with you, my East Coast friend!

  3. Beautiful!

The sun rides in on a flaming chariot, battles darkness for dominion over the skies.

Skies in which this battle is raging are awesome to look at.

    • Yes, they certainly are. Especially when you know the skies will clear, and that sunshine’s never far away.

Do you know of any authors who use weather as a recurring theme? I’ve always appreciated that metaphor.

    • I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

I’ve been meaning to tell you…I saw my sister Coral this past weekend (the one who’s a breast cancer survivor). When I gave her the lovely charm you’d made for the One World One Heart contest, she burst into tears. Of joy, of course. Of understanding, too, and appreciation. She treasures it. So I wanted to thank you again–on her behalf and mine.

  4. Such a beautiful rose you have captures. The shine from the rain bath that leaves it glistening in the sun as it lifts its petal to the sky for the warming from upon high.
Our skies have been brown the last couple of days from the blowing dirt. Even after a real bad sandstorm, the sky smells so clean. Again thanks for the rose that brightened my day.

    • Oh PapaDan, you are proving yourself a poet. 🙂

Ugh, I hated those dust storms. Can you imagine what it must have been like, to have endured the endless days of blowing dust in the Dust Bowl? But the clean air afterward…incomparable. Hope the dust settles before this holiday weekend!

    • Go ahead–let your imagination fill in the details. 🙂

It’s lovely, and I feel lucky to have it. The fragrance wafts through my living room window in the morning, and the scent gets even brighter when the sun shines down on the rose pedals. t’s one of my all-time favorite roses. I promise–you would love it!
