  1. Good luck!

You are so inspiring! It takes courage and determination to take such a negative event and work to turn it into something that will be good for everyone!

    Good luck!

  2. I’m happy to hear that your son has healed. I hope his story, along with this scary thought: “Therefore, an athlete can, theoretically, face immediate suspension for improperly accepting a cheeseburger from a booster, yet continue playing on the team after being convicted of any one of the violent felonies listed in this bill.” help to pass this bill.

Congratulations on making an impact and good luck tomorrow!

  3. You are such an inspiration to other people not to back down from the ‘establishment.’ You are proof that one person can make a difference. I wish you the best of luck.

Oh, are you from Laguna Hills like the one article said? I live in Lake Forest.

  4. Melodye, as a wife of former high school coach, wife of high school administrator, and mom of current high school athlete playing 3 sports, may I say, my hat is off to you
This is SUCH a no brainer!

  5. You’re amazing – this is a very moving and convincing speech – bravo! I hope everything goes well for you and this bill –

I admire your courage and strength to tackle this matter–and am surprised that it is even a situation that needs attention. Your testimony is well written, and packs a punch. Good luck, and I’m happy to hear that your son is doing better.

  7. YAHOO!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!

Your whole story (and your son’s) is so outrageous- I’m very proud of you for standing up and helping make things right in the world! Hope you’re going out to celebrate!

  8. Wow.

I’m so proud of you and I don’t even know you!

Thank you for your passion and commitment to this fight. Now that the bill has passed, it will pave the way for other states to pass similar legislation.
