  1. OH MY GOODNESS!!! Many, many congratulations for your family’s victory and for your victory on behalf of other families. You deserve to be walking on sunshine, my dear.

  2. I AM SO THRILLED FOR YOU. MAZEL TOV. I must educate myself and learn about this bill and learn about what YOU DID to effect a change in society and the law.

    Proud to be your friend,

    • Thanks, Pamela. These kind words made my day.

Re the backstory…I left you a link in one of your posts, and I posted links to the story in this entry, too.

Politics makes strange bedfellows, doesn’t it? This bipartisan issue is worth a reach across the aisle.

  3. I just started reading about what you’ve been able to accomplish is truly inspirational. Just the fact that you didn’t let it go and fought on all this time shows that keeping in the fight is so important. Thanks for sharing how change can be accomplished. Hopefully others will follow your wonderful example.

    • Linda,

Thank you so much for these kind words. I really appreciate your support of the bill and my efforts. I do hope that others will take up this issue in their states. Though it doesn’t lead the list of important issues facing our nation, it’s still important — for so many reasons.

      By the way, I hope it’s OK that I be-friended you. 🙂

  4. Congratulations, Melodye!

That is absolutely fantastic! You should be so proud of yourself. This is huge…wow, wow, wow. The world would be such a better place if there were more people with your heart and determination.

Can’t wait to see those pics! 🙂

    • THanks for your sweet words. Actually, I’m most proud of the fact that my son came through this experience with heart, body, and spirit intact. This signing ceremony will pay tribute to him and his courage. 🙂

      • That’s because he has your heart and determination as well! *wink* So glad to hear that is doing well after this whole ordeal.

Hugs to you and your family. 🙂
