      My heart soars whenever a hatchling takes wing. It’s not to be taken for granted, as you and I both know. Thanks for sharing this experience with me. Here’s to another nest, riding on the tail feathers of the first.

  1. Your writing is incredibly picturesque. I had no idea how small the nest was until you said it was walnut-sized. Really? Wow! Fluff- snatching rivals and birds the 1/3 the weight of a dime? You are missing your calling, Melodye. This HAS to be a picture book. but then I don’t know how you could insert Peter’s Flight Simulation video which was beautiful–but I kept waiting for him to fly out of the nest. Truly enjoyed this post. Can you tell?
