  1. How wonderful, Melodye! It’s an amazing experience, isn’t it, to be able to watch the whole thing, from egg, to hatchling, to fledgling? We once had a robin’s nest under a second story patio. I’m not sure if it was the mother or the father, one of them would not let us close, but the other was very trusting of us and would let us come right up to the nest. It was amazing to see the cycle from hatchling to fledgling. What I couldn’t get over was how quickly they developed. You could literally see the difference from one day to the next. 🙂

    • YES! You blink once, and the eggs turn into hatchlings; blink twice, and they’re fledglings. *happy sighs*

      I so love robins, Gisele, and hope someday that I’ll see one in my neighborhood. I’ve heard tell that they’re around, but I’ve not even heard their cheerily-cheep song.
